Margin Calls

A minimum Margin Level (a percentage figure representing the ratio of Equity to Margin) of 100% is required at all times in order to keep your SVSFX account in good standing. If your Margin Level is below 100% by the end of this week at 5 PM London time, or drops below 50% at any time, we will close the open positions immediately and without notice, starting with the highest losing position first until you margin level is at or above 100% again.

Explanation of Automatic Tradeout

Trading with leverage is high risk and markets can move very quickly. Whilst it is possible to lose more than your original deposit there are automated systems in place to prevent your trading account falling into a debit balance.

If your Equity balance falls to 50% of your Used Margin then open positions will be automatically closed out starting with the highest losing position first.

Example

Your account Equity balance is £100
You open a trade in GBPUSD at maximum leverage 1:400, deal size is £4,000 (£100 X 400)
Your Used Margin is now £100
If your Open P&L falls to a loss of £50, your Equity is now equal to £50.
At this point, your Equity is 50% of your Used Margin and your open positions will be closed out starting with your greatest losing position first.
